An ideal way to begin your sewing journey.  Over six weeks I will get  you to grips with using a sewing machine, a range of core techniques and you will complete three projects – a  tote bag with a patch pocket,  a drawstring bag and an envelope cushion cover.

This block is perfect for complete beginners who have never used a machine, as well as those looking to refresh their sewing skills.

We will start from scratch and begin with how to set up the sewing machine, threading, winding a bobbin and getting comfortable with a range of stitches.  As we work through the projects you will be introduced to some key techniques, whilst gaining confidence and understanding to take forward into future projects.

You will receive full written instructions, complete with diagrams for each of the projects to enable you to make these again on your own.  This also means you can work at your own pace during class, as you will easily be able to continue with the project at home between sessions.
