Dressmaking Basics - Revision Project Session - 2 weeks 29/1 & 5/2

£55.00

Exclusively for those who have attended the Dressmaking basics 6 week or weekend intensive course. The session will run over two weeks, Thursday evenings 6-8.30pm, 29/1 and 5/2.

Designed to give you a chance to revisit the techniques covered in the course, go over anything you missed or just practice with me on hand. There will be no set structure for these sessions, but they are designed to help you build your confidence with the techniques you have already covered in the dressmaking sessions.

No materials are provided in these sessions so you will need to bring you own. You can of course purchase calico or fabrics in the session.

Examples of what you might want to bring / use the sessions for -

working on a pattern you that covers some of the techniques (such as the Ashton Top from Helen’s Closet)

Seams - explore the practicalities of using flat felled or french seams in a garment

Bias - bias facings were a tricky technique we covered and you might want to get your head around this and have another few goes with me on hand to trouble shoot.

Setting in a sleeve - grab a pattern and bring along the prepared fabric pieces and really nail the set in sleeve on a full sized garment.

It is very likely that a few of you may wish to revisit the same techniques and I will be more than happy to demonstrate techniques as required.

If you are not sure if this is for you but want to ask some more questions just drop me an email at rachel@hackleydesignstudio.com
