All About Pockets - 31/10
Saturday 31st October
10-4.30pm
Ideal for those looking to develop their dressmaking techniques - this workshop is all about pockets.
One of the most prominent and vital features of a garment, pockets can really make or break your piece. Understanding how to get a really good finish will really elevate the clothes you make. Having a good understanding of the construction, when certain styles are more suitable to certain fabrics or placement will also give you the confidence to hack your patterns and use the pockets you want, where you want. We will be covering patch pockets- including curved edges, elevated in-seam pockets and welt pockets.
What will we cover?
Elevated in-seam pockets
Patch pockets, included curved
Welt Pockets
What is included?

Fabric for all samples
Use of all equipment and tools required in the studio
Use of a studio sewing machine if required

Anyone who enjoys garment sewing and is looking to develop their skills further. As noted above this is an intermediate class and to get the most out of the class you should have some garment sewing experience.
