Dressmaking Project Day - 15/11

£65.00
1 available

This one day project session is specifically designed to give you the chance to work on your dressmaking projects. If you are working on something and need some guidance on certain aspects or just want to spend the day in a social sewing setting - this is perfect. It is also the perfect way to make a good start on a new project as you will have all day to focus with uninterrupted sewing bliss.  The session will run 10-4.30.

Please note this is a supported sewing session, and not a fully tutored class. You should be very confident using your machine and have completed some projects on your own.

These are unstructured classes designed to be a time when you can make the use of the studio, get settled with your project and have me on hand for any queries or technical help as you work. You can bring your own machine and will get a table to yourself to work away. All the additional tools and equipment the studio has to offer will be available during the sessions, and I will have a selection of threads and basic haberdashery if you happen to have forgotten anything. More specialist items (such as zips, fastenings etc) and a small range of basic fabrics and interfacing will be available to purchase in the sessions as well.

Who is this for?

These are designed to be supported, self directed sessions, rather than full tutored workshops, and setting up the machine and basic operations from scratch won’t be covered. In addition full dressmaking tuition is not provided. I will be on hand if you need guidance with certain techniques or on tricky elements. If you are not sure if this session is right for you, please feel free to get in touch directly at hackleydesignstudio@gmail.com with any questions.

What is provided?

  • at least one table per participant

  • shared use of large cutting table & use of all studio tools

  • Tea, coffee, cow and oat milk
